I found a link to Jesse James Garrett’s article, “A visual vocabulary for describing information architecture and interaction design,” on his website. I've done some extensive flowcharting in the past and have "experienced" many methodologies.  Garrett presents a simple, IA/IxD-specific design diagram which is a clear and simple approach to documenting the process flow.  Visio stencils are also provided on the page.  Nice method for Architects and interaction designers (or those of us fortunate enough to use both pens).
